Students Baptized in Abak

EVANGELISM REPORT FROM NCBC 16-19 NOVEMBER, 2018 Many good things are happening in the congregations around us. On 17th November, the Church of Christ, Uruk Uso, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State ordained her first batch of Elders and Deacons after 43 years of their existence. Four men including Dr. S. P. Ekanem, an alumnus of NCBC, were ordained as Elders and three men as Deacons. Friday Mark who has served as the minister in that congregation for 8 years is also an alumnus of NCBC. The ordination service was very colourful and drew participants from many congregations across Nigeria. On 16th November being Friday, fourteen NCBC students embarked on a weekend evangelism to the Church of Christ, Ibiaku Itam, Itu where Samuel Okon, the Director of NCBC Ministerial Program is preaching. They made 150 calls from house to house and staged one open air lecture. God blessed their efforts with eight (8) baptisms. The Ibiaku Itam congregation hired a bus that conveyed our students back to the college. The same weekend, two students also visited and worked with City Church of Christ, Abak. They evangelized Abak Town house to house and preached on Sunday and baptized two souls for Christ. On Sunday, 18th November, I drove the WBS Team made up of Monday Akpapan, Sunday Solomon and Anameti Akpan to Ikot Abasi No. 1, Etinan to conduct WBS seminar and quiz competition for […]

June 2018 WNCC Evangelism Report

The West Nigeria Christian College in Abeokuta is doing well, to the Glory of God. We continue to press forward with training for all of Western Nigeria, and beyond. Due to our recent evangelism efforts, we had a baptism. When you sow the seed, God gives the increase! BUILDING: We are eternally grateful to God for the successful roofing of the store house that was roofed two weeks ago, ahead of the affiliation program. We give God the glory and we believe God who began this project with us will surely bring it to a successful completion. Kudos to our President and The ACSF BOARD — as well as to God! VOCATIONAL PROGRAM ON CAMPUS: As part of tent-making insight like Bro Paul in the scripture, we give praise to God and for the initiative of having a vocational semi-institute on our campus. So far, four students enrolled for the computer engineering and networking program and three registered for desktop publishing program on campus. So far the students are doing great and instruction is ongoing as the instructors are also giving their best shot for the program.  To God be the glory. FARMING We are grateful to God for the rain so far on our soil as seeds are been planted, such as corn, cassava etal. The tractor has finally plough the land and crops were planted.   We pray for bountiful […]

May 2018 WNCC Update

REPORT ON ALUMNI AND GRADUATES OF THE COLLEGE We are eternally grateful to God for having a great citadel of learning like West Nigeria Christian College and School of Biblical Studies. We thank God and thank all sponsors for playing a vital role and for being instrumental to the spiritual academic growth of these young ones throughout the duration of their learning.  Statistics show that most of the graduates of the College from inception have been doing well and we are proud of them. Some are in the field preaching as pulpit ministers, evangelists and church leaders while some are in secular organization serving in one capacity or the other like in the banking industry, lecturer with Lagos State University, Medical Doctor and Nurses at both federal and state health institutions, Barristers, Chartered Accountants, just to mention but a few. Some are retained as instructors with the college, such as Bola Fayemi, captured with the national service uniform. She studied Mathematics/Statistics at Osun State College of Technology. We believe and pray to God for them to continue to shine as light in the midst of darkness and salt in the world of bitterness. FARMING The college is warming up to get to planting by putting its land into use. The school invited the tractor to plow about three acres of our land in other to prepare the ground for planting. […]

“MORE SOULS WON FOR THE LORD DAILY”

Over the years, I have found WBS Seminars to be very effective in winning souls for Christ that is the reason I am deeply involved in conducting at least five seminars in every quarter of the year.  On 8th April 2018, I spoke in a WBS Seminar at the church of Christ, Mbiaobong Ikpe, Ikpe Annang, Essien Udim L.G.A.  The theme was “Christ and the Church” I spoke on “Christ”.  We combined the seminar with two hours house to house evangelism which resulted in one Baptism since the stream was not nearby, we had to convey the one soul to church of Christ Esa Atan Uruk Uso, Ikot Ekpene and baptized in the church baptistery.  This was more than three miles drive before we finally drove home to Abak. In the same spirit, another WBS seminar was held on 15th April 2018 at church of Christ, Ekit Itam II, Itu L.G.A. my topics was “where will you spend eternity”, Monday Akpakpan spoke on the role of WBS in evangelism.  As we went into the community for personal work, I studied with a young man who decided to come to the venue for baptism other participants also brought another soul and two souls were baptized for Christ.  This was the first WBS seminar in that church. Nelson Sunday, a ministerial two student of NCBC came to my office 16th April and reported that he went on evangelism to church of […]
