Open-Air preaching results in 4 Baptisms

The Seminar which took place at Church of Christ, Odukpani Junction ran through Thursday; 29  November through Saturday 1 December, 2018. The theme of the seminar was, Christ, the Hope of Glory (Colossians 1:21). House to House evangelism was conducted for two days during the occasion, while there were two open air lectureships too. According to Effiong Asuquo Ekanem, a preacher in Odukpani Church, not lesser than 47 new WBS students got enrolled for WBS correspondence courses,while completed lessons were equally collected from students to be sent abroad to teachers. About 15 congregations from the area took part and four souls were baptized. This congregation holds WBS seminars every year before Christmas.

Students Baptized in Abak

EVANGELISM REPORT FROM NCBC 16-19 NOVEMBER, 2018 Many good things are happening in the congregations around us. On 17th November, the Church of Christ, Uruk Uso, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State ordained her first batch of Elders and Deacons after 43 years of their existence. Four men including Dr. S. P. Ekanem, an alumnus of NCBC, were ordained as Elders and three men as Deacons. Friday Mark who has served as the minister in that congregation for 8 years is also an alumnus of NCBC. The ordination service was very colourful and drew participants from many congregations across Nigeria. On 16th November being Friday, fourteen NCBC students embarked on a weekend evangelism to the Church of Christ, Ibiaku Itam, Itu where Samuel Okon, the Director of NCBC Ministerial Program is preaching. They made 150 calls from house to house and staged one open air lecture. God blessed their efforts with eight (8) baptisms. The Ibiaku Itam congregation hired a bus that conveyed our students back to the college. The same weekend, two students also visited and worked with City Church of Christ, Abak. They evangelized Abak Town house to house and preached on Sunday and baptized two souls for Christ. Baptisms at Recent Student-led Campaign

On Friday November 2nd 2018, forty-three NCBC students left the campus for evangelism to Oniong Iman, Etinan under the leadership of Sunday Nelson, a final year student. He went and borrowed a bus from the Nigerian Christian Institute Uyo and NCBC paid for the cost of the fuel. They worked with a young congregation of 16 members: 7 men, 6 sisters and three children. On Saturday morning November 3, at 5am, they conducted morning devotion. Starting at 9am,  they preached from house to house and later they conducted open air lectures. On Sunday morning, they officiated in the worship service and had two baptisms. The young church there at Oniong Iman Etinan fed 43 N. C. B. C. students for three days and send them back to college happily after church service. The same Sunday Nelson spoke in an evening program at church of Christ Efiat Offot, Uyo on November 4, 2018 and there were three baptisms. Thanks and God bless. Uyai Sunday Joshua
